Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward.

We are looking for a Lead Integration Engineer, Business Systems to design, implement, and maintain integrations across our key enterprise applications, including our ERP, CRM and Legal tech stack. This role will be responsible for creating efficient, scalable data flows that connect our business systems, enabling automation, operational efficiency, and a single source of truth across departments.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience integrating SaaS and enterprise platforms in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. They must be highly skilled in integration platforms (Tray.io preferred) and able to partner cross-functionally to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and love working collaboratively to make an impact — we want to hear from you.

We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our San Francisco office — three days per week.

What You’ll Do:
  • Architect and implement integrations between HubSpot, NetSuite, Spotdraft, Zip, and other core systems using Tray.io as the enterprise integration platform.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design workflows that support Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal operations.
  • Skilled in analyzing, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing integration workflows, middleware components, and orchestration layers within complex, distributed systems.
  • Manage data flow accuracy, ensuring consistency and quality across systems.
  • Establish best practices for integration development, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and technical issues proactively.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure integrations comply with security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Build scalable and reusable integration components to support future needs.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • 8+ years of integration or business systems engineering experience in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Expert in XML and JSON, including schema design (XSD, JSON Schema), data transformation, validation, and parsing. Proficient in mapping between hierarchical (XML) and object-based (JSON) structures to support API integration, data migration, and middleware workflows.
  • In‑depth knowledge of integration architectures, including SOA principles and RESTful API best practices.
  • Tray.io certified (Foundations and Build Practitioner) or equivalent certification in other integration tools (Workato, Mulesoft, Boomi).
  • Experience implementing both SOAP and RESTful web services with strong understanding of REST APIs, data mapping, and authentication protocols.
  • Experience with SaaS business systems like HubSpot CRM, NetSuite ERP, contract management tools, and procurement systems is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points For:
  • Prior experience as a business systems analyst is highly desirable.
  • Experience in scaling a startup in a hyper-growth environment .

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
