About the Team/Role 

WEX is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Lead Generation Representative to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers for our products/services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sales and a desire to build a successful career in a dynamic environment.

How you'll make an impact

  • Generate sales qualified leads: leveraging various channels, including Wex customer base, marketing qualified leads and/or outbound prospecting 

  • Research and identify: Target ideal customer profiles and research key decision-makers within those organizations

  • Qualify prospects: Engage with prospects to understand their needs, challenges, and buying process. Determine if they are a good fit for our products/services.

  • Schedule meetings: Book qualified meetings and product demonstrations for sales reps

  • CRM management: Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and lead qualification status in our CRM system

  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales & marketing to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and/or opportunities

  • Stay informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and our evolving product offerings

  • Conduct initial qualification calls and gather relevant information about prospects' needs and pain points.

  • Prospect campaigning: creative, strategic campaign alignment with marketing resources to ensure we are getting the right message out to the market. 

  • Achieve or exceed monthly lead generation, activity, lead to opportunity conversion quotas, and opportunity progression quotas

  • Generate productive opportunities which successfully advance through our sales pipelines

Experience you'll bring 

  • Flexible/Willing to work MST/PST hours

  • Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities are crucial for effective outreach and engagement

  • Interpersonal skills: Build rapport quickly and establish trust with potential customers

  • Resilience and persistence: Maintain a positive attitude and overcome objections in a fast-paced sales environment

  • Time management and organization: Effectively manage your time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals

  • Technology proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), sales engagement tools, and online research platforms

  • Coachability: Be open to feedback and eager to learn new skills and techniques.

  • Experience: Proven experience in a lead generation or sales role, preferably in a B2B environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Pay Range: 21.00 - 28.00 + commissions
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
