Position summary:

The Lead Gen Analyst serves as a critical part of the Commercial Strategy team, focusing on optimizing and scaling our lead generation campaigns and processes. As a driven, self-motivated, and determined individual, you will be asked to perform deep-dive analysis into lead generation campaigns and performance data. This fast-paced position will support our Sales, Client Success Manager, Commercial Leadership, Marketing, and Finance teams, ensuring our lead generation campaigns, including but not limited to email and LinkedIn, are efficient, data-driven, and highly effective.

You will be responsible for defining and executing strategies using various internal and external platforms to meet target benchmarks, book pitches, analyze campaign performance, enrich our data and develop improved methods for documentation and data quality. This role is essential for driving our business forward by turning qualified leads into booked pitches through various channels simultaneously, and for creating the robust processes and documentation needed to ensure our entire team can benefit from and implement these best practices.

What you will do:

  • Develop and optimize processes for lead generation campaigns on channels such as email, LinkedIn, etc., using a variety of internal and external platforms to ensure campaigns perform at or above expected performance benchmarks.
  • Research and integrate a tool or add-on for automatic data enrichment for Sojern prospects.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics such as open rates, click rates, and pitches booked to derive actionable insights and show the value of our optimizations.
  • Partner with the Sales and Marketing teams to define campaign targeting needs, requirements, internal tracking processes and plans to meet lead generation goals.  You will ensure our lead generation efforts are working with Marketing efforts and not in a silo.
  • Build and maintain various reporting and dashboards aimed at process optimization and sales growth.
  • Utilize platform features, including A/B testing, AI email copy, and LinkedIn capabilities, to enhance outreach effectiveness.
  • Create processes to track the outcomes of optimizations to demonstrate the value of changes.
  • Ensure our internal tools are aligned and communicating so as not to create any data discrepancies.
  • Leverage data enrichment and email verification features within our platforms to maintain high data quality for our prospect lists.
  • Create and maintain documentation of best practices for email lead generation and roll out these strategies to the sales team.
  • Bring your problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize campaigns, and communicate your insights and methodology to multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with platform integrations and provide training to internal teams on how to best utilize features for lead generation.
  • Be rigorously data-driven in every aspect of your work, from analysis to communication.
  • Partner with Sales to ensure processes are developed, enhanced and adjusted to maintain pipeline health as new tools are integrated.

What you bring to the table:

  • BS in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Marketing, Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a data or business analytics role.
  • 1-2 years of experience with email marketing, digital marketing, or lead generation platforms.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience
  • Experience with email automation tools and platforms, and a strong understanding of lead generation best practices.
  • Experience extracting, analyzing, and sharing insights derived from data using various tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate strategy and methodology to various teams.
  • A positive, goal-oriented, and high-energy attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple priorities, and work with remote offices

What we have for you:

We take a whole-person approach to create a Sojernista Experience that allows our people to thrive, not just as employees, but as humans. As an employee of Sojern, you would benefit from this in the following ways:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
