At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $189,000 - $246,750
Zone B: $170,100 - $222,075
Zone C: $157,500 - $205,625
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process for analytics and data visualization features, from discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment with business and user goals.
- Translate complex data and analytical workflows into clear, engaging, and actionable user experiences, including dashboards, reports, charts, and interactive data tools.
- Champion user-centered design principles, accessibility, and data literacy throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform and validate design decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior designers, fostering a culture of growth, feedback, and design excellence within the team.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels, building consensus and influencing product direction.
- Stay current with industry trends in data visualization, analytics, and design best practices, and proactively introduce innovative approaches.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems to support scalable, consistent, and high-quality data experiences across products.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI/product design, with a strong focus on data analytics, visualization, or enterprise SaaS products.
- Proven track record designing and shipping data-rich experiences (dashboards, analytics tools, reporting interfaces, etc.) at scale.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with expertise in layout, responsive design, and data visualization.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with analytics/visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, D3.js).
- Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to integrate feedback, synthesize diverse perspectives, and drive alignment.
- Experience in iterative design processes: sketching, prototyping, validating with users, and shipping impactful solutions.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, and data literacy principles.
- Experience mentoring designers and leading design discussions that influence outcomes across teams.
- Learn-it-all mindset and eagerness to stay ahead in a fast-evolving design and analytics landscape.
