Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. By combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we are reinventing how America produces its most critical parts.

We recently raised $260 million dollar Series C to accelerate this mission. We are excited to launch a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000-square-foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts.

Hadrian works with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and significant defense contractors across space, shipbuilding, and aviation to scale production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery on mission-critical programs—leading investors, including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!

The factories-as-a-service team analyzes our current customers' production and supply chain challenges, builds data-driven presentations, designs and scopes factories of the future, and assists the Federal and Strategic sales team in forming long-term partnerships with the DOD, Primes, and other manufacturers.

This specific team is responsible for scoping, design, cost, schedule, and technology analysis, as well as proposals for major programs and manufacturing transformations across all manufacturing methods and domains.

With several major programs in flight, we are hiring rapidly for this team that will effectively analyze, design, scope, plan, and handover (or join) execution of large-scale manufacturing efforts.

The Role:

Lead Production Planner, Special Projects

You will be responsible for creating comprehensive Demand Plans and Production Plans, providing clear direction regarding products, schedules, part numbers, and demand volumes for manufacturing activities. This role requires collaboration with customers to develop accurate demand schedules, often reconstructing these from legacy or incomplete data.

  • Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Analyze and validate customer-provided data to develop accurate demand forecasts for assemblies, subassemblies, and individual parts.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers, including federal agencies, to ensure alignment and delivery of production schedules.

  • Provide precise demand signals to Manufacturing Engineering teams for capital expenditure planning and supply chain readiness.

  • Partner closely with major prime contractors and Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders.

  • Develop and refine demand schedules through customer engagement, often requiring on-site interactions and data synthesis.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience at a Senior Manager level or higher in developing detailed demand profiles and/or supply chain schedules.

  • Background in Aerospace, Automotive, or Defense manufacturing sectors.

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or similar analytical tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively translate customer insights and anecdotal information into actionable demand forecasts.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 30-40% of the time for on-site customer data collection and analysis.

What will set you apart:

  • Experience or familiarity with software development and automation technologies.

  • Working knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes.

  • Prior experience with capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and supply chain optimization.

  • Previous direct interaction or experience with federal government contracts or prime contractors.

Benefits:

  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees

  • 401k

  • Relocation stipend if you’re moving from outside of LA

  • Flexible vacation policy

ITAR Requirements:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
