Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer with AI-assisted coding knowledge, and big data processing experience. Join our team to build products supporting dentsu's marketing vision using cloud technologies. You will collaborate with a passionate team solving complex problems and developing data analysis features. Adapt quickly, innovate solutions, and provide incremental value for customers. You will also support client solution teams in their efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project initiatives and team collaboration
  • Mentor new software engineers in the team
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
  • Lead building monthly data assets and designing data pipelines
  • Coordinate with other teams as part of a larger data-sharing system
  • Understand business needs, and write clear user and technical documentation
  • Research and introduce new solutions and technologies, contributing to Snowflake Native App development
  • Use Agile methodologies and AI tools for rapid feature releases
  • Guide best practices throughout the development lifecycle: develop, review, and deliver with CI/CD using industry standard practices
  • Participate in quality assurance and automated testing
  • Resolve production issues, participate in on-call support, onboard clients, and communicate with client teams
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years in software development
  • Database fundamentals, SQL skills and understanding of relational and non-relational data models
  • Expertise with object-oriented programming languages (Java and Python)
  • Expertise of big data platforms/warehouses (Snowflake preferred, Hadoop a plus)
  • Proficient in Agile Development, Vibe Coding, Issue Tracking (JIRA), code repositories (Git, Bitbucket), SDLC, testing methodologies, and continuous integration
  • Expertise with cloud technologies (AWS preferred, GCP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of data processing workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks)
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, distributed systems
  • Unix command line skills, Bash scripting

The annual salary range for this position is ($113,000 -$182,850 ). Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
