- Lead data analysis projects involving collection, compilation, and interpretation of complex datasets.
- Design and optimize SQL queries for relational databases.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Microsoft Power BI.
- Conduct system/user acceptance testing and data validation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Medicaid and behavioral health data initiatives.
- Document methodologies, processes, and findings clearly and accurately.
- Support compliance with state and federal data reporting requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on data extraction and transformation strategies.
- Contribute to the development of data quality control frameworks.
- 2 years of experience as a data analyst or in a related quantitative field (e.g., BI analyst, data engineer, researcher).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in technical research and data interpretation.
- 2 years of experience writing and maintaining complex SQL queries.
- 1 year of experience in system/user acceptance testing and data validation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with Medicaid or Medicare data systems.
- Familiarity with California county-based behavioral health systems.
- Experience working in managed care health plan environments.
- Knowledge of X12 transactions.
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL Server, Microsoft Power BI, and/or ESRI ArcGIS.
- Experience leading cross-functional data teams.
