You will lead the development of an enterprise-level organic social media strategy with a focus on increasing followers and engagement, and building the GoodRx social presence into a driver of business growth. You’ll help put the GoodRx brand on the map from a social media and content perspective and will make the brand more culturally relevant, with a finger on the pulse of what’s next.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in leading and creating work for both B2B and B2C audiences and has a solid understanding of the nuances of communicating with both. This individual ideally has experience on both the agency and brand-side, with 8+ years of experience building and leading compelling social strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly engaged, strategic, and visionary social strategist to make a massive impact.

What You’ll Do:

Develop a social strategy playbook for GoodRx

  • In partnership with the Director, Content Marketing, this individual will lead the refresh of the GoodRx organic social strategy, inclusive of channel mapping, content recommendations and development, audience profiling, tracking and optimization, and social-first campaign development.

  • Oversee and execute the publishing of organic social content across all platforms, ensuring alignment with campaign calendars, brand voice, and creative guidelines.

  • Bring the updated GoodRx brand strategy to life in a consistent, compelling, and consumer-first manner across all organic social channels.

  • Operationalize social media content creation in order to make the content more streamlined and effective.

  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to build new content modules and social-first content campaigns.

  • Maintain and evolve the organic social editorial calendar to coordinate content planning, scheduling, and timely delivery across channels to support cross-team partners and social-first initiatives.

Track and optimize social initiatives in order to optimize for growth

  • Build a strategic approach for increasing followers and engagement across GoodRx social channels in order to drive intent and trial of the GoodRx offerings.

  • Expand our share of voice and cultural relevance to elevate GoodRx’s brand perception and presence in a competitive landscape.

  • Build a comprehensive social media dashboard in order to provide ongoing learnings and optimizations for content development.

Build a bench of internal & external partners to support content & engagement

  • Work closely with the Community Engagement team, the PR team, the Editorial team, and the Marketing channel leads to develop social content that meets their business objectives.

  • Develop a roster of external partners and vendors who could provide additional support in the organic social space, ranging from creative agencies to contractors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BS degree in marketing or related degree or the equivalent in years of experience

  • 8+ years of social media strategy experience, ideally at both an agency and a brand.

  • A solid understanding of how organic social can achieve business objectives while still creating engagement and buzz.

  • Strong analytical ability and clear and effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

  • Optimism and excitement for your work, a love for the next big challenge, and a passion for business impact.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
