We are looking to add a Lead Commercial Escrow Officer to our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for establishing new commercial escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in transforming the commercial real estate experience by empowering our employees and customers to deliver next-generation solutions and results.
What You’ll Do
- Continually grow and service a strong book of commercial business by delivering exceptional customer service and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal partners.
- Independently manage a high-volume portfolio of simple and complex commercial real estate escrow transactions, including multi-party and multi-state deals.
- Determine transaction requirements and act as a neutral liaison between buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful and timely closings.
- Partner cross-functionally with Underwriting to evaluate and mitigate title and escrow risk while structuring transactions in alignment with company policies and risk tolerance.
- Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in strict accordance with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Lead the closing process by reviewing, recording, and filing documents, preparing and distributing final closing statements and title policies, and ensuring adherence to delivery dates and service level expectations.
- Prepare and review legal and escrow-related documents required to close commercial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide proactive communication and detailed status updates to all parties throughout the lifecycle of the transaction.
- Identify and escalate title and escrow risk, noncompliance issues, and contractual provisions that fall outside standard escrow duties, partnering with leadership and underwriting as needed.
- Consistently meet production, revenue, and quality goals while maintaining a strong client-focused approach aligned with company standards.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of escrow-related experience as an Escrow Officer, preferably focused on Commercial transactions.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-liability commercial transactions with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of escrow regulations, title practices, and risk mitigation principles within commercial real estate transactions.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and service excellence.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, lenders, attorneys, and internal partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Ability to independently evaluate risk factors and make sound decisions within company and departmental guidelines.
- May require escrow officer certification depending upon state requirements.
- Comfortable working with technology, proprietary platforms, and emerging tools including AI-enabled solutions; adapts quickly to new software applications and leverages technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client service.
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
