In this role, you will:
- Prospect companies with annual revenue $25MM+; we have significant opportunity to bring Commercial Banking capabilities to more Wells Fargo clients
- Target establishing complete C&I relationships that are comprised of treasury, deposit and credit solutions; and our general guidance is you should move to focusing more on C&I and less IRE over time in most markets
- Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to cross sell appropriate products and services, prioritize prospects, develop pursuit strategy, create proposals, manage new customer acquisitions, and onboarding process for customers
- Increases Wells Fargo's and the Commercial Bank's relevance to prospective customers and product partners for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value-added ideas
- Participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Commercial Banking Business Development functional area
- Meet business objectives while leveraging solid understanding of functional area operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Business Development peers, colleagues, and middle level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead Commercial Banking Business Development projects and teams, or serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals
- 5+ years of Commercial Banking Business Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Commercial or Middle Market account relationship management experience
- Experience direct sourcing and prospecting new clients within the segment
- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Complex Treasury Management experience
- Knowledge of commercial credit
- Established network in the local market
- Risk management experience
- Experience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
- Experience growing a business or portfolio of clients
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
