About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant for the Payments Operations Data, Analytics & Reporting (DAR) Team, supporting the Payments Operations organization. The DAR team is responsible for design, development, implementation and maintenance of data solutions driving insights and analysis across the Payments Operations portfolio. In this role, you will work with senior leaders to uncover insights, solve complex problems, and build data-driven solutions to improve business performance & client experience.
In this role, you will:
- Drive the insights and analysis strategy for the end-to-end Payments Operations DAR organization
- Use Python, SQL, SAS, or other statistical / BI tools to develop enterprise-wide data product solutions
- Lead the development and implementation of insights for executive audiences
- Build an enterprise-wide portfolio of standardized and ad hoc analysis and insights, which leads to the ability to understand, measure and improve business performance and/or internal processes.
- Develop and maintain monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Automate insights and analysis including committee/council materials, business unit reviews, performance dashboards and KRI/KPI metrics
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, scalable, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute data research projects or results oriented intelligence that support the business
- Mentor employees across departments to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment on strategic initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations, and policies and compliance requirements
- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Python/SAS/SQL experience
- Proficient in Python, SAS, SQL, and other statistical tools to support data mining and advanced analytical techniques
- Experience in global liquidity or payments operations
- Experience with aggregation, analysis and generating insights from disparate structured and unstructured data sets
- Ability to work with large databases and process flow through complex logic or algorithms enabling proactive detection of patterns and trends
- Strong root cause analysis experience in developing data driven insights to uncover data anomalies, trends, and actionable analysis
- Strong analytic and creative problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to synthesize/translate data for executive consumption
- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
