Role Summary
As a Team Lead for Account Management you'll help guide a small group of Account Managers focused on campaign execution, client retention, and account growth. This is a hands-on role where you’ll stay close to the work, support the team with escalations and daily blockers, and make sure clients are seeing value. You’ll also manage the performance of your team, help them grow, and ensure we’re delivering consistently across accounts.
This role is ideal for a strong Senior Account Manager who’s ready to step into people management while still staying in the weeds with clients and campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Jump in to support your Account Managers on daily campaign management, client calls, and escalations
- Monitor client health, flag risks early, and drive renewal and upsell conversations
- Review campaign performance, help troubleshoot issues, and guide optimization plans
- Run weekly 1:1s and team check-ins, provide coaching, and unblock day-to-day execution
- Help set up account plans and prep for QBRs, pitch decks, and strategy docs
- Coordinate with Sales, AdOps, and Performance Strategy to align on goals and deliverables
- QA campaign launches or new initiatives before they go out the door
- Keep tabs on team workload and capacity—redistribute or reprioritize as needed
- Document and roll out best practices for campaign execution and client communication
- Track individual and team KPIs, provide regular feedback, and support performance reviews
- Onboard new Account Managers and help with training sessions or playbook creation
- Communicate key account updates and team issues to leadership
You’ll Be Successful in This Role if You Have/Are
- 5+ years of experience in Account Management or Customer Success, ideally in adtech or digital media
- Strong client-facing skills—comfortable running calls, managing tough conversations, and solving problems
- Experience managing multiple accounts and campaigns with lots of moving parts
- Solid understanding of campaign performance metrics and optimization tactics
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback—both with clients and teammates
- Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Experience mentoring or informally managing others is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
You May Also Have
- Experience managing people directly
- Worked with enterprise clients or large budgets
- Familiarity with DSPs, CTV platforms, or programmatic tools
- Digital ad certifications (IAB, Google, etc.)
