Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Architect in Los Angeles, CA.

Job details:

  • Play an active role in the design process from concept through construction.
  • Prepare design graphics and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate design and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
  • Assist in the training assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
  • Under the direction of the Supervising Landscape Architect, independently perform technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
  • Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations. Prepare specifications, reports and related data table. Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups and other disciplines.
  • May telecommute.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Regional Planning, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Regional Planning, or related field and 3 years of experience in job offered or in a related occupation. 

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. CAD drafting, modeling, and project documentation (AutoCAD, Microstation, or Rhino3D);
  2. Adobe Creative Suite;
  3. Graphic communication including hand drawing/sketching;
  4. Advanced modeling and analysis software (Revit, Grasshopper3D, or ArcGIS);
  5. Advanced 3D rendering and visualization software (Lumion, D5 Render, or Enscape);
  6. Scripting (RhinoScript, Grasshopper, Python, Processing, or Arduino);
  7. DOT-related construction documentation;
  8. Complex on-structure public park design;
  9. Designing transportation infrastructure;
  10. Working on interdisciplinary projects;
  11. Architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture disciplines; and
  12. Licensed Landscape Architect.
