POSITION OVERVIEW

The National Account Executive is a sales role responsible for driving national and multi-market advertising partnerships across the IKE Smart City portfolio. This role serves as a primary liaison between IKE Smart City and national advertisers and agencies, owning relationships from initial outreach through contract execution.

As an ambassador of IKE’s smart city media platform, the National Account Executive develops strategic, scalable programs that leverage IKE’s digital footprint in major urban markets. This role blends consultative selling, relationship management, and strategic thinking to deliver high-impact campaigns while contributing meaningfully to the growth of the national sales organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with national brands, agencies, and agency holding companies
  • Independently manage time, travel, and resources to maximize sales effectiveness
  • Target key industries for annual, seasonal, and programmatic advertising partnerships
  • Prepare and present customized, insight-driven proposals and agreements to prospective and existing clients
  • Collaborate closely with internal creative, marketing, analytics, and operations teams to support campaign development and execution
  • Negotiate and execute complex contracts that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Manage, maintain, and grow a national client portfolio
  • Maintain strong internal partnerships and external client relationships
  • Review inventory availability and develop detailed proposals and media plans as requested
  • Identify emerging trends, categories, and new business opportunities within the media and smart city landscape

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in national or enterprise-level media sales
  • Previous experience in OOH, digital media, ad tech, or broadcast media strongly preferred
  • Proven record of exceeding revenue targets and closing complex, high-value deals
  • Strong communicator with exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
  • Highly consultative with the ability to translate client needs into scalable media solutions
  • Strategic and analytical thinker comfortable navigating ambiguity and long sales cycles
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Strong organizational skills with disciplined CRM and pipeline management
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


The on-target earnings (OTE) for this role range from $125,000 – $200,000, inclusive of base salary and commission.
