Job Summary:  

The Social Media Producer will focus on content creation and will provide support to the Marketing and Digital Media department by producing original social content and management of club social media channels.  This role will maintain strict adherence to the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park brand guidelines with a consistent look and feel throughout all digital properties.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plans, oversees, and produces a wide variety of video and graphic content (game coverage, interviews, highlight and historical packages, etc.) for the LA Galaxy, LA Galaxy II, LA Galaxy Academy and Dignity Health Sports Park using Adobe Creative suite or other company provided video/graphic editing programs
  • Oversee day-to-day management of LA Galaxy social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok etc.) and ensure LA Galaxy brand standards while fostering awareness of the club. campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
  • Collaborates with superiors and various departments for LA Galaxy, LA Galaxy II, LA Galaxy Academy and Dignity Health Sports Park to ensure content requests, sponsorship obligations, and other content elements are captured and distributed via social media.
  • Assists in the management and execution of digital strategy across the LA Galaxy, LA Galaxy II, LA Galaxy Academy and Dignity Health Sports Park by aiding in the club’s weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly content meetings.
  • Stay updated with social media trends within the Los Angeles community, overall social media community and communities/platforms involved with LA Galaxy or MLS to create/suggest/develop content for the LA Galaxy that is relevant and impactful.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

  • A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year)
  • Years of related work experience: 3-5 Years
  • Strong knowledge in managing social media accounts for established brands.
  • Strong Proficiency at shooting with iPhone 12/13 and Canon EOS – R
  • Strong knowledge of and working experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Specific knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects is necessary)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; ability to learn required business systems/ 
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Fireworks, InDesign, Illustrator and Flash; HTML/CSS coding skills are essential 
  • Video editing experience preferred 
  • Ability to successfully manage several projects at once, prioritize assignments, manage expectations of internal customers and be extremely organized 
  • Professional demeanor demonstrating responsibility, initiative and dependability, all with a positive attitude
  • Proactive and able to work well under pressure 
  • Creating new and powerful visual concepts that engage and excite internal and external stakeholders
  • Building creative sequences and frameworks for video and photo content to inform creative decisions
  • Capture and edit own content in-game and outside of matches
  • Create and adapt from existing editing work including, animations, motion graphics and other existing content.
  • Willingness to experiment with content and think outside the box 
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills; Able to follow instruction and work independently 
  • Flexible and adapts to various environments and situations.
  • High ethical standards and strong sense of confidentiality; Team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Spanish proficiency preferred

Pay Scale: $69,397.00

Bonus:  This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
