We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software development (preferably Java or Python) on Unix/Linux platforms to lead large-scale batch processing system migrations. This role requires expertise in Autosys batch scheduling, CI/CD tools, automation, and troubleshooting software deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Migration & Deployment: Plan and execute large-scale migrations, deploy software using CI/CD tools, and troubleshoot build, deployment, and testing failures.
- Batch Scheduling & Automation: Manage and configure Autosys, optimize batch processing workflows, and resolve job failures.
- Testing & Environment Setup: Execute UAT & production parallel tests, compare results, and ensure smooth rollouts in lower environments.
- Change Management & Risk Mitigation: Develop detailed migration plans, conduct pre-mortem calls, and follow change management best practices.
- Development & Automation: Build custom automation tools, enhance migration efficiency, and implement shell scripting and IaC tools (Terraform preferred).
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams, document processes, and provide knowledge transfer.

- Programming: Java, Python, Shell, Perl
- Unix/Linux Expertise: System administration, automation
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, SVN
- Batch Scheduling: Autosys, Control-M, Cron
- Testing & Debugging: Automation frameworks, troubleshooting
- Database: Sybase or similar
