About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Product Manager to own a product area end to end—from discovery and definition through delivery and iteration. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to ship products customers love and that drive measurable business results.

What makes product management here different is how we work. You'll operate inside an agentic PM loop, where AI agents handle much of the analytical and synthesis work—summarizing feedback, surfacing patterns, and drafting first-pass artifacts—so you can spend more time on customer empathy, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment. You'll also participate actively in our Product Council model, where cross-functional teams plan, prioritize, and own roadmaps together.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own a product area. Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your domain, aligned to company goals and customer needs.
  • Drive discovery. Run continuous customer discovery, user research, and data-informed analysis to identify the right problems to solve.
  • Define and prioritize. Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; maintain a well-groomed, prioritized backlog.
  • Ship and iterate. Partner with Engineering and Design to deliver on a healthy cadence; measure outcomes and iterate based on results.
  • Go to market. Work with Marketing, Sales, and CS on positioning, launch, and adoption for your area.
  • Communicate clearly. Keep stakeholders informed on priorities, trade-offs, and progress.
How You'll Work With AI

You'll be a power user of our agentic PM loop—a set of product-analyst agents that augment your day-to-day work. You'll use, evaluate, and help improve agents that:

  • Summarize support tickets and identify recurring themes
  • Cluster feature requests across channels
  • Watch competitors and flag meaningful moves
  • Analyze churn and surface root causes
  • Identify customer pain themes from unstructured feedback
  • Summarize sales calls and Gong recordings
  • Monitor usage analytics for adoption and friction signals
  • Generate weekly opportunity reports
  • Draft first-pass PRDs for you to refine and own

You won't just consume agent output—you'll treat it as a starting point, apply product judgment, validate with customers and data, and help us improve the quality and usefulness of the loop over time.

Product Council Participation

Each product area runs a recurring Product Council for Epic and Sprint planning. As the PM for your area, you'll:

  • Lead planning for your product's council meetings
  • Bring evidence from discovery, analytics, and the agentic PM loop into prioritization discussions
  • Engage cross-functional partners—Sales and CS participation is mandatory and expected to be substantive, not ceremonial
  • Produce and maintain a roadmap for your area that reflects customer needs, business value, and resourced priorities
  • Present your roadmap to the Strategic Product Council for alignment and resource allocation across company Threads
What Success Looks Like
  • You ship products that solve real customer problems and move the metrics that matter.
  • Your roadmap is evidence-based, clearly prioritized, and trusted by cross-functional partners.
  • You leverage the agentic PM loop effectively—faster insight, sharper prioritization, stronger first drafts.
  • Product Council meetings are productive, decisions are clear, and Sales/CS feel genuinely heard.
  • You grow in product craft while helping us refine how humans and agents work together.
What We're Looking For
  • 3–7+ years in product management with a track record of shipping products in B2B SaaS or a comparable environment.
  • Strong product craft. Comfortable with discovery, prioritization frameworks, roadmapping, PRD writing, and defining success metrics.
  • Customer and data driven. You ground decisions in customer insight and quantitative signals, not gut feel alone.
  • Agentic mindset. You're excited to work alongside AI agents, not threatened by them—you know where automation helps and where human judgment is essential.
  • Cross-functional collaborator. You build trust with Engineering, Design, Sales, and CS and run effective planning sessions with them.
  • Clear communicator. You write and present crisply; stakeholders always know what you're building, why, and what's next.
  • Ownership mentality. You take responsibility for outcomes in your area, not just output.

How We Invest In You

  • Healthcare that begins on your first day:
    • Generous company-funding of our health, vision, and dental plans
    • HSA/FSA plans
    • Short and Long-Term Disability
    • Life and Personal Accident Insurance
    • $40 monthly wellness stipend you can use towards any wellness, fitness, and wellbeing purchases
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    • Adoption Assistance
  • Retirement: 401(k) at three months of employment — with a match upon enrollment!
  • Time away:
    • Discretionary PTO + 13 paid holidays
    • Parenthood: Competitive paid parental leave and flexible return to work policy
  • Recognition:
    • Generous Employee Referral Program - earn cash for each employee referral that is hired
    • Yearly Cipher-versary stipend
    • Ci-Phives - receive public kudos and gift cards from peers and managers
  • Culture:
    • CARE2 Values
    • Monthly All Teams Meetings
    • Employee Resource Groups such as Rainbow Room and BIPOC Group
    • Internal Webinars and robust onboarding / training programs
    • Remote-first team: $50 per month reimbursement in your check for WFH expenses
    • You’ll receive a new Macbook laptop, other hardware, and company swag upon hire

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
