WHAT YOU’LL DO

Do you have a passion for directing talent and bringing out natural, authentic performances? Do you love crafting beautiful, aesthetic shots with strong framing, thoughtful props, and polished lighting? If so, you might be the next Donut. We’re in search of a junior producer to join our team and film native, social-first UGC content that feels effortless yet elevated for our portfolio of top ecom brands. In this role, you will take ownership of executing shot lists, planning visual setups, and ensuring every detail on set comes together to create aspirational, on-brand content.

You will have the opportunity to sharpen your directing skills, elevate your visual storytelling, and experiment with shot composition, camera angles, and lighting to achieve the best possible look. You should be chronically online with a sharp eye for trends and a genuine love for filming social content and being on set, creating work that feels current and engaging. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the energy of shoot days, balancing efficiency with creativity, and who is excited to collaborate with producers, PAs, and talent to deliver content that feels both organic and visually striking across all social platforms.

What you'll be diving into day-to-day:

• Execute shot lists with quality and efficiency, minimizing retakes and reshoots
• Film UGC-style content that feels natural, authentic, and native to TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms
• Direct talent to deliver natural, authentic performances that feel native to social platforms
• Ensure shots are in alignment with creative briefs and brand guidelines
• Prepare for shoots by sourcing wardrobe, props, and locations as needed
• Plan lighting, framing, and shot composition in advance for efficient shoot days
• Film content primarily on mobile devices, optimizing settings for professional-quality results
• Maintain variety in shots and angles to enhance visual storytelling and avoid repetition
• Capture aspirational and engaging b-roll to complement primary footage
• Upload, organize, and review footage immediately after shoots, flagging any issues
• Collaborate closely with PAs, Producers, and other team members to ensure smooth workflows

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 1–2 years of production or content creation experience, preferably in digital or social media
• Strong understanding of mobile filming, including lighting, framing, and camera settings
• Comfort directing and coaching talent to achieve organic, on-brand delivery
• Strong creative eye with good taste for framing and overall aesthetics
• Knowledge of social-first creative, with ability to mimic influencer-style TikTok/Instagram videos
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep shoots on schedule
• Familiarity with using external mobile microphones and optimizing audio capture, lighting knowledge a plus
• Attention to detail in wardrobe, continuity, and overall shot consistency
• Ability to quickly identify when a shot is complete and move on efficiently
• Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy environments that require multitasking
• Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on improving execution and growing both technical and communication skills
• Experience with softwares such as Adobe Suite, Asana, Airtable, Google Drive
• Ability to go on-site 2-3 times a week to shoot on set in Manhattan Beach, in addition to other locations and shoots throughout the week

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
