About this opportunity
We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer for Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment (CEE) to join our team in developing Ericsson's OpenStack and OPNFV-based virtual infrastructure manager (VIM). Our product is the virtualisation, control, and management layer of our market-leading Network Function Virtualisation infrastructure (NFVi) solution . It is an industrialised telecom-grade cloud platform that secures several applications, such as virtual network functions and can effectively share infrastructure resources in terms of compute, storage and network.
What you will do
Your role will be to integrate open source components and Ericsson proprietary add-ons and with proper configuration ensure that the different parts are working together in the customer environment. At the same time, you can constantly learn more about new innovative open source technologies, gain experience in various areas of product development and enterprise-level product delivery.
You will love this role if you like playing with Linux, integrating and configuring components, writing scripts, fixing bugs, documenting, and verifying on real hardware to achieve an efficiently working and well-integrated product. More or less everything that a DevOps engineer can dream of who wants to rock in a constantly evolving environment!

You will
- Design and integrate cloud infrastructure from open source components, and perform fixing issues in internal as well as in customer networks
- Take part in the full development cycle from system design, through development, integration, verification, and deployment
- Continuously improve our product and processes
- Constantly develop your competencies.
You will bring
- Experience with Linux system administration, programming and shell scripting (e.g., Python, bash)
- Hands-on mentality and flexibility to perform whatever task in a DevOps fashion
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral

- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and test automation (e.g., Tempest, ROBOT)
- Configuration management (e.g., Ansible)
- Development & Integration tools (e.g., Git, Gerrit)
- IP networking concepts and packet analysis (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wireshark / tcpdump)
- Virtualisation (e.g., QEMU, libvirt)
