As a Junior Data Coordinator, you'll review and classify municipal meeting data, document data problems, and work with teams to improve data quality.
About the Position
As a Data Coordinator with Curate, you will join a small but mighty team of experts responsible for the identification, verification, and organization of municipal meeting data. You will help ensure our clients stay on top of their most pressing issues at the city and county government level. You will analyze snippets of text extracted directly from agendas and minutes, make quick decisions as to their relevancy to client-oriented concepts, and become knowledgeable in a wide range of subject manners. You are a self-starter and hold yourself accountable; you can work independently alongside your coworkers to parse through a varying daily workload. You are not afraid to think critically about your work and offer suggestions for improvements that benefit the team as a whole.

Curate helps businesses efficiently monitor risk and find opportunities through municipal data - at scale. We scan thousands of local government websites looking for meeting minutes and agendas where decisions are made that impact our business customers.

About You
You are self-motivated and technically savvy. You can work independently on projects and thrive in autonomous situations. You are also a collaborative partner with other teams and thrive on finding solutions that benefit the group. You want to learn about the tech industry by truly seeing the foundations of how the product functions.
The salary for this position is $40,000 - 45,000.

What To Expect In This Position
- Review data for accuracy.
- Classify data according to a specific set of parameters.
- Work as a team, with customer input, to improve the quality of our data.
- Document problems in the data and our tools.
- Share ideas for data and process improvement with the team.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve data quality.
- Participate in regular data audits.
- Continue to learn new skillsets as you grow within the team.
- Work mostly during standard Central Time Zone work hours with some flexibility for client needs and workload
What Sets You Apart
- 1 year of data review related work experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new software.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and resourceful.
- Superior communication skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Comfortable working as an individual and as part of a close-knit team.
