  POSITION SUMMARY
The Jr. Social Media Associate keeps DanceOne’s channels active, engaging, and on-trend. This early-career role handles daily publishing across platforms, captures and edits short-form video on-site at events, engages our community in the DanceOne voice, and reports on what’s working. It’s a hands-on opportunity for a creative, plugged-in social native to grow with a fast-moving brand.
  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedule and publish daily content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
  • Capture and edit short-form video on-site at events, including same-day recaps and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Monitor comments and DMs, engaging with dancers, studios, and parents in the DanceOne voice.
  • Pull weekly performance reports and flag trends, top posts, and emerging audio/formats.
  • Source and coordinate UGC and creator content, tracking rights and approvals.
  SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Native fluency in Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, including short-form video.
  • Hands-on video capture and editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar).
  • Strong writing and community-management instincts in a brand voice.
  • Organized and reliable with scheduling, reporting, and rights/approvals.
  • Fast, trend-aware, and comfortable creating on-site at live events.
  • Genuine passion for dance and social storytelling.
  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • 0–2 years of social media, content, or marketing experience (internships count).
  • A portfolio or sample channels demonstrating short-form video and social content.
  • Willingness to travel to events and work occasional weekends during peak season.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience a plus.
