Position SummaryAre you ready to take the next step in your quality career within aerospace manufacturing? As a Jr Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality attributes for assigned programs are satisfactorily controlled to comply with company and customer contractual requirements. Working under general direction, you will support customer source inspection, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and root cause corrective action efforts. Key Requirements
- Associate's degree, or equivalent experience in the metal manufacturing industry; Aerospace experience is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the metal manufacturing industry
- Technical background, including the ability to read and understand blueprints; knowledge of metal machining processes is a plus
- Experience with MRB activities
- Proficiency with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent organization, detail-oriented, and communication skills
- Fluent and effective in English written and verbal communication; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Prepare and support customer and government source inspection activities, including preparation of source documents, reports and on-site support as needed
- Support MRB activities in accordance with PAS and customer requirements, report on MRB inventory activity
- Conduct shop floor surveys to ensure conformance to quality manuals and procedures
- Support required process metrics using MSA / SPC / Gage R&Rs / VSM methodologies
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of product requirements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, procedures and work rules to support and maintain PAS Quality Management System
