Vast is looking for a Jr. Business Intelligence Analyst, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Quality and Supply Chain to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and dashboards for management review.
  • Partner and build relationships with stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs, to deliver analyses that tie directly to informing their strategic decisions
  • Inform decision-making by visually and verbally synthesizing data into easy-to-consume storylines for both operational and executive audiences
  • Define, develop, track and measure key performance indicators to assess the health of the department 
  • Analyze data and generate reports using Excel, SQL, or business intelligence tools.
  • Lead innovation, proactively developing analytical solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy, including developing new methodologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative fields
  • 1-2 years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or related role.
  • 2+ years of experience with querying and analyzing large complex data sets, data visualization, and data storytelling
  • 2+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment using data to extract actionable insights and drive strategy
  • Proficient expertise with analytical and data visualization tools (SQL, Excel, Python, Tableau or equivalent tools)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience using data analytics techniques for a wide variety of use cases and developing/reporting on key performance indicators
  • Experience with Google technology stack or similar, a plus
  • Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana, etc.).
  • Understanding of analytics for quality, supply chain and or logistics environment a plus

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones

Pay Range: 

  • Jr. Business Intelligence Analyst: $66,200 - $83,900
  • Business Intelligence Analyst: $82,900 - $105,000

Salary Range: California

$66,000$105,000 USD

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.
