Assist in managing merchandise allocation across retail locations, support inventory movements, and provide analytical insights to optimize sales and inventory levels.
Purpose & Objective
AMIRI has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Allocator to join our DTC Merchandising team! Reporting to the Associate Director of Merchandising & Allocation, this role will assist with improving the efficiency of product allocations for our retail locations.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in managing merchandise allocation to outlet channels, ensuring product availability across all categories is always optimized.
- Support with inventory movements across all DTC channels, from initial distribution to end-of-life cycle, including replenishment and consolidation of inventory.
- Monitor and control store inventory levels based on factors such as store capacity, seasonality, and sales trends.
- Assist in managing the basic stock replenishment program, collaborating with the Planning team to maximize sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Planner to identify growth opportunities and address declining sales trends by optimizing merchandise assortment.
- Participate in business reviews with the Merchandising and Planning teams to align allocations with sales objectives.
- Provide analytical insights to drive sales and margin growth while minimizing risks.
- Coordinate with the Production team to track shipment statuses, manage shortages, and handle overages.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements and tool enhancements to increase productivity.
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment across various systems to facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Actively engage in cross-functional team activities to support overall business goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in allocation, inventory analysis, or retail operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to follow through on tasks.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable with embracing change.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with other analytical tools is a plus.
