We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic development team supporting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications for government and defense clients. This fully remote role offers significant flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to largely set your own schedule while contributing to high-impact projects in a secure, collaborative environment.The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Java and Spring frameworks, combined with hands-on Oracle PL/SQL proficiency, and holds at least a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance (or higher). You will engage in end-to-end development, optimization, deployment, and support of robust web-based enterprise systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based enterprise applications using Java and Spring frameworks (including Spring MVC and Spring Boot).
  • Design, develop, and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL components, including queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
  • Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot applications on Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including stakeholders, architects, and testers) to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality, secure software.
  • Ensure applications meet rigorous standards for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide production support, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, system enhancements, and incident resolution.
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers when needed.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strict compliance with security protocols, DoD policies, and clearance-related requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with strong proficiency in Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Must have a current Navy CAC or Flankspeed account
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and performance optimization).
  • Solid understanding of data interchange formats including XML and JSON.
  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) is required; must be eligible and willing to maintain clearance.
Nice to Have
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Oracle Certified Java Programmer/SE).
  • Prior experience in remote or distributed team environments.
  • Familiarity with application performance tuning, monitoring tools, and diagnostics.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle WebLogic platform administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
