Position Summary

The IT Operations Project Manager plays an important role in the organization by performing several activities related to the company’s Information Technology Operations and Service Delivery functions. The position will primarily be responsible for managing the full life cycle of technology projects, including changes to Enterprise Applications and initiatives that support IT Security, Network, and Systems Infrastructure. This position will also be responsible for managing improvement projects for IT Operations process and procedures. Candidate must have prior experience in Data Protection Projects.

Compensation

This role is an exempt position with a targeted salary range of $94,882 to $136,096 annually.

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Essential Functions

  • Manage projects under the IT Operations & Services Portfolio, including Enterprise Applications, Information Security, Endpoint Engineering, and Network/Systems Operations.
  • Manage process improvement projects for IT Operations, including documenting standard operating procedures, developing cross department procedures with corporate departments, and infrastructure change management standards.
  • Work with IT management and stakeholders to create IT Operations and Services project plans with clear dependencies, resource estimates, and target deadlines.
  • Work with IT teams to refine IT Operations Change Management Process and Governance.
  • Execute project planning to meet department needs; document and communicate project statuses and risks accurately.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations leadership team on projects.
  • Facilitate Meetings that support the IT Operations and Services Portfolio Management and Controls.
  • Act as liaison for between IT Operations and project stakeholders in Software Development and Corporate departments.
  • Work with third parties to evaluate vendor contracts and facilitate onboarding contractors for projects.
  • Facilitate annual planning activities supporting Technology Products.
  • Develop backlog and roadmaps based on IT priorities and resource availability.
  • Work with IT Operations teams to transition from Project Close to Operational Support.
  • Roll out IT Operations Change Management Project Templates and Procedures.
  • Analyze project delivery performance metrics, develop KPIs, and project reporting.
  • Discover end user IT needs and communicate with IT management on visions, solutions, and concerns.
  • Support IT Operations and Services Management team in building and maintaining a scalable IT support system.
  • Build relationships and work closely with IT Analysts, Support Technicians, System/Network Administrator, IT Management, and internal stakeholders to drive change and process improvement.
  • Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
  • Recommend technology strategies, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum seven years' experience as an IT professional.
  • Demonstrated skills with Project Management, Change Management and Release Management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Azure.
  • Understanding of system and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with Enterprise Applications, Systems/Network Administration, and Information Security.
  • Ability to schedule and communicate technical needs internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.

Supervision

Job Scope:  Responsible for understanding the department/functional area objectives and goals and how own job contributes to achievement of these goals; may contribute insights and ideas on policies, processes, procedures, and efficiency; may recommend changes and enhancements based on analysis and evaluation of circumstances.

Complexity:  Problems are often complex and specialized and may involve unprecedented circumstances; resolution requires investigation, analysis and review of professional/organizational standards.

Impact:  Decisions and actions have an impact on the smooth operation and timeframes of the department, programs/projects; impact on the broader organization is generally indirect.

Interaction/Supervision:  Acts as a mentor/guide to less experienced professional contributor staff in a similar role; works independently and only under general direction; guided by professional standards, desired outcomes, and project plan specifications.

Requirements

  • Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
  • Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation.
  • Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
  • Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Travel 5-10%
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
  • This role requires effective adaptation to workplace stressors, including customer service complaints, security responsibilities, and competing priorities.
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol. Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
  • Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday.
