You are based in the USA and part of our engineering team. You own IT and your primary mission is to ensure our operation teams perform efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulatory, (cyber)security and privacy requirements. Your second mission is to provide second line Technical Support for our users–patients and healthcare providers, and work with the customer success team to ensure all Bloomlife users have an amazing experience using our services.
Your responsibilities:
- Company IT Ownership
- Own IT infrastructure for US operations (hardware, software, networking), focusing on Google Workspace.
- Manage access rights, permissions, and compliance with security/privacy requirements.
- Continuously improve IT processes and documentation.
- Compliance & Security
- Collaborate with regulatory and software teams on IT requirements.
- Ensure HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST/ISO 27001 compliance.
- Provide guidance on IT, security, and privacy best practices.
- Monitoring and auditing of sensitive information
- Technical Support
- Second line technical support for users (patients & providers).
- Work closely with Customer Success to resolve issues.

To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Background in Computer Science, or equivalent through experience
- 3+ year experience in IT in regulated industries (e.g. healthcare, automotive, space)
- Experience with HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST, and/or ISO 27001
- Experience with managing macOS and/or Linux environments with endpoint management tools
- Experience with technical support and communication with internal and external users
Additionally, it will help to have:
- Experience in building IT infrastructure and ops to support commercial products
- Experience with DevOps, GitLab, Google Workspace, AWS
- Experience with healthcare system integration (e.g. FHIR) and electronic Medical Record (EMR) integration
