Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven IT Admin Assistant / SEO Specialist to work directly with the Founding Partner in managing and growing the firm's digital presence. This role blends day-to-day website and IT administration — including WordPress management and real-time site updates — with full-cycle SEO strategy and execution to drive organic traffic and client acquisition. 

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven IT Admin Assistant / SEO Specialist to work directly with the Founding Partner in managing and growing the firm's digital presence. This role blends day-to-day website and IT administration — including WordPress management and real-time site updates — with full-cycle SEO strategy and execution to drive organic traffic and client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

Website & IT Administration

  • Manage and maintain the firm's website on WordPress, including layout, content, plugins, and design elements.
  • Make real-time website changes and updates as directed by the Founding Partner, including page edits, new content publishing, and site fixes.
  • Troubleshoot basic website/IT issues and coordinate with developers or vendors when more advanced fixes are needed.
  • Support the Founding Partner with day-to-day digital and administrative needs related to the firm's web presence.
  • Ensure the website is consistently functional, secure, and up to date.

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, implement, and manage SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings and drive qualified website traffic.
  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research and analysis to identify high-value opportunities aligned with the firm's practice areas.
  • Perform on-page and off-page SEO optimization, including meta tags, headers, URL structures, internal linking, and backlink building.
  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits and resolve site issues such as crawl errors, page speed, mobile usability, and structured data.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
  • Develop SEO-optimized blog posts, landing pages, and practice area pages aligned with the firm's brand voice.
  • Track and report key SEO metrics including keyword rankings, organic traffic, bounce rates, and conversion rates on a regular basis.
  • Stay current with Google algorithm updates, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize local SEO efforts, including Google Business Profile, legal directory listings, and citation building.
  • Identify and implement link-building opportunities through outreach, partnerships, and content marketing.
  • Collaborate with marketing, business development, and leadership teams to align SEO goals with the firm's growth objectives.
  • Provide recommendations and support for paid search campaigns (PPC) as needed.

Maintain documentation of all SEO activities, strategies, and performance reports

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on SEO experience with a proven, trackable record of measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience managing and editing websites in WordPress, including making live/real-time updates.
  • Demonstrated success in improving organic search rankings, traffic growth, and lead generation.
  • Experience working in or with a law firm or legal services organization is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with legal content marketing and attorney directory optimization (Avvo, Justia, FindLaw, etc.) is highly desirable.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in WordPress with the ability to make real-time website edits and updates.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO techniques, algorithms, and ranking factors.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and website architecture as it relates to SEO.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work closely and directly with firm leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Comfortable working onsite/hybrid and responsive to real-time requests from the Founding Partner.
