Faes & Co is an investment firm with a mission to provide investors with a consistent, stable, asset-backed return.

We are an emerging manager led by a founder with a track record of building multi-billion-dollar AUM businesses. This is an opportunity to join the business early and work directly alongside the founder and CEO as we build out our investor and capital markets platform.

Our flagship strategy, the Faes & Co Income Fund, provides investors with access to a portfolio of short-duration, asset-backed real estate loans. The Fund supports the lending activity of F2 Finance, our US private real estate lending business, which originates bridge and fix-and-flip loans to professional real estate investors.

We think of ourselves as an AI-native company. We aim to use modern technology, automation, data, and frontier AI models to operate with greater speed, precision, and leverage than traditional financial services firms. We expect our team members to be curious, practical, and highly capable in using AI tools to improve the quality and velocity of their work.

Position overview:

Faes & Co is seeking an Investor Relations and Fund Operations Associate to help grow and service the investor base for the Faes & Co Income Fund.

This is a hands-on associate role that sits directly with the founder. It is part fund operations, part investor relations, and part sales. You will help build the investor pipeline, produce the materials and reporting that investors rely on, and run the operational machinery of the Fund, including monthly and quarterly reporting, filings, onboarding, and the relationship with our external fund administrator.

This is not a graduate role. You will need at least two years of full-time, post-graduation experience, and you will need to want real responsibility and direct exposure to how a private credit platform is built, rather than a narrow seat in a large firm.

This is an office-based role in Santa Monica, California. Working from our office is required.

You will work very closely with the founder on a daily basis, which means unusual access, fast feedback, and a clear path to grow with the platform as assets under management scale.

What you will do:

Capital raising and sales

  • Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline of prospective investors, including HNW investors, RIAs, family offices, wealth managers, and referral partners.
  • Run consistent outreach and follow-up, and keep every prospect moving to a clear next step.
  • Organize investor meetings, calls, webinars, and events, and prepare the founder for them.
  • Attend conferences and industry events, source new relationships, and follow up promptly afterwards.
  • Track outreach activity, conversion, investor feedback, and campaign performance, and report on it to the founder.

Investor relations, fund operations, and reporting

  • Produce the monthly fund fact sheet and the quarterly investor report, including performance commentary and portfolio summaries.
  • Put together investor presentations, pitch materials, fund summaries, FAQs, and market commentary.
  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact for existing and prospective investors, respond to inquiries accurately and quickly, and coordinate due diligence requests.
  • Hold investors' hands through the onboarding and subscription process, from first document to funded commitment.
  • Work with our external fund administrator on KYC, investor onboarding, capital accounts, and administrative matters.
  • Make sure all Fund filings and KYC and compliance is completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain investor records, the CRM, and the fundraising database so that the data is always current and reliable.

Who we are looking for:

Beyond the minimum experience requirement, we care most about drive, judgment, and reliability.

  • Self-starter. You take work from a one line instruction to a finished product without needing to be actively managed at every step.
  • Highly motivated. You want to build something and you are energized by a growth target.
  • Able to sell. You are comfortable reaching out to investors, holding a conversation about the Fund, and asking for the next meeting.
  • Detail oriented. Fact sheets, reports, and filings have to be right, and you check your own work.
  • Very well organized. You keep multiple reporting cycles, pipelines, and follow-ups on track at once.
  • Clear writer. You can turn numbers and updates into something an investor will read and trust.
  • AI-native. You already use frontier AI models in your daily workflow and you are quick with modern tools such as Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time, post-graduation experience in investor relations, fund operations, fund administration, private credit, real estate finance, asset management, wealth management, investment banking, or a comparable analytical or client-facing role.
  • Genuine hustle and ambition. We want someone who wants to build a career, not just hold a role, and who can point to concrete evidence of outworking the people around them.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work from our Santa Monica, California office. This is an office-based role and is a mandatory requirement, so remote candidates will not be considered.

Benefits

Competitive base salary appropriate to an associate level hire, plus a performance-based bonus or commission linked to capital raised.

Benefits include:

  • medical insurance
  • 401k (with employer contribution)
  • paid holidays
  • parking in our building
  • training and development
  • good coffee, paid office lunch twice a week, endless snacks and a great work environment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
