The role is a key position within the MIM's investment process as it relates to the trade execution and alignment to portfolio management teams for total return strategies / client-based portfolios and General account strategies within MIM.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities):
- Trade Execution & Sector Ownership Execute trades across diverse sectors and portfolio strategies in accordance with established internal trading protocols and best execution policies. Oversee comprehensive order management and allocation processes for both primary and secondary market transactions.
- Relationship Management & Strategic Partnerships Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with broker-dealers across trading, sales, and syndicate functions. Collaborate closely with portfolio management teams to identify compelling investment opportunities, emphasizing relative value analysis from both issuer and sector perspectives.
- Research Integration & Market Intelligence Partner with research analysts to identify and evaluate portfolio investment opportunities. Communicate market intelligence and facilitate strategic allocation of securities based on comprehensive market analysis.
- Operations & Compliance Excellence Resolve trade operations and compliance issues promptly while ensuring accurate and timely booking of all trades and hedging transactions. Maintain rigorous adherence to regulatory requirements and internal risk management protocols.
- Team Collaboration & Communication Actively participate in scheduled trading desk meetings and cross-functional discussions to support strategic decision-making and maintain alignment across investment teams.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):
- Undergraduate degree required.
- 5-10 years of Fixed income trading experience, with preferred focus on Investment Grade Trading
- Bloomberg, Marketaxess, Tradeweb proficiency
- Strong Communication skills
- Team Orientated
- Strong Knowledge of Corporate Credit Markets
- Excel
