About the Role
We're hiring experienced investors with a track record of success to join our growing investment team. In this role, you'll lead investment transactions that leverage our operating capacity, working closely with the broader investment team. Successful candidates will bring a creative, analytical mind, an aptitude for understanding software businesses across verticals, and the polish to navigate executive-level conversations that secure key deals for the firm.
Key Responsibilities

  • Source and build relationships with software CEOs and founders that fit our target investment profile

  • Build financial models, research industry dynamics, and write investment memos for potential opportunities

  • Lead diligence workstreams — developing a first-principles understanding of each company's customers, sales process, lead generation, churn, product positioning, competition, team, and market

  • Support senior partners in managing the deal process end-to-end, coordinating with lawyers, accountants, and consultants

  • Participate in portfolio company board meetings and partner with management teams post-close to sharpen operational efficiency and sales & marketing workflows


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record

  • 1–3 years of investment banking experience (software / technology group preferred) or prior growth equity / private equity experience

  • Direct exposure to SaaS, software, or subscription business models

  • A strong relationship builder who earns trust quickly with executives and teammates

  • Data-driven, intellectually curious, and numerically inclined

  • Strong project management, organizational, and process management skills

  • Able to prioritize and run multiple workstreams concurrently with sharp attention to detail

  • San Francisco, hybrid work model

 

Compensation

  • The annual base salary range for this role is $280,000 - $290,000, taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.
