The position offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, equity consideration, excellent medical, and retirement plans.

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Investment Analyst is to support Portfolio Managers and other members of the Investment Department.  The Investment Analyst will provide relevant portfolio analysis to Portfolio Managers, research markets and securities, plan and input trades, and prepare research reports and client documents.  The position requires advanced computer, analytical and communication skills.  The candidate will support, and be mentored by, multiple senior team members.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include: report preparation, portfolio analysis, investment research and trade input as follows:

  • Report Preparation
    • Prepare reports to communicate with clients, networking contacts, prospects and the Investment Department
    • Create, update and analyze investment performance reports

  • Portfolio Analysis
    • Generate custom reports to help Portfolio Managers monitor client accounts
    • Assist in analyzing portfolios to ensure they reflect Whittier Trust sector and security outlook
    • Assist in providing oversight to ensure trades are made in accordance with client investment policy statements

  • Investment Research
    • Analyze markets and securities
    • Create and update equity, fixed income, and economic research charts

  • Trade Input
    • Assist in implementing portfolio changes across accounts

 
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 2 plus years’ experience in related field desired but NOT This is an entry-level position.
  • Advanced Excel skills with an emphasis on building formula-driven workbooks and models
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with an emphasis on designing high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and systems
  • Experience with FactSet and Bloomberg desired but not essential.
  • Experience with Addepar desired but not essential.
  • Proven quantitative/analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in time management and deliverables

COMPENSATION
A competitive base salary, performance bonus, and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, and 401(k) with company match.
Base salary range: $65,000 - $85,000.
