This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Investment Analyst to support the expansion of Topcon’s Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) operations.
The CVC Investment Analyst will be instrumental in facilitating the evaluation of potential investments, managing the investment pipeline, and supporting portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks and stakeholders with precision and efficiency.
Overall Responsibilities:
Investment Support: Assist in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, coordinate due diligence activities, and prepare investment documentation for internal review.
Portfolio Management: Maintain communication with portfolio companies, track performance, and coordinate meetings and events between the CVC team and portfolio companies.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, act as a point of contact for startups, and support networking events and industry conferences.
Strategic Initiatives: Support the development and implementation of CVC strategies that align with Topcon’s innovation goals and assist in organizing strategic workshops and innovation challenges.
Operational and Project Management: Manage project timelines, assign tasks, ensure deadlines are met, and coordinate administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and organizing investment documents.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Investment Documentation: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and documentation required for the investment review process.
Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment, ensuring thorough evaluation of potential investments.
Pipeline Management: Monitor the investment pipeline, manage deal flow documentation, and track key metrics for internal reporting.
Portfolio Support: Assist in the preparation of reports on portfolio performance, coordinate engagement activities, and track progress on key milestones.
External Relations: Foster relationships with startups, venture capital firms, and industry partners, acting as a liaison for the CVC team and external stakeholders.
Project Oversight: Oversee project management tasks, including tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring alignment with company strategies.
Administrative Coordination: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and handle the organization of files, contracts, and other important documents.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in a coordination or analyst role, preferably within a venture capital, investment, or corporate environment.
Familiarity with healthcare and technology sectors is required; understanding of the ophthalmology market is a strong benefit.

Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
Keen attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in documentation and spotting potential issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective coordination across departments and with external partners.
Ability to take initiative, manage projects independently, and ensure deadlines are met.
Reporting Relationships:
The CVC Investment Analyst will report directly to the Sr, Director of Business Development.
Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay Range: $90,000 to $110,000 Annualized
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
Bonus eligible:
In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 5% annual bonus.
