Our client is a leader in last-mile logistics and delivery management software, and is seeking a freelance investigative writer to craft an ROI-focused case study white paper. This project requires a strong researcher and storyteller who can lead interviews, extract meaningful insights, and produce a professionally written, research-heavy piece that aligns with the client’s voice and value proposition. This piece needs to be very polished, so experience working closely with design or being able to design it yourself is required. Familiarity with logistics, dispatching, or SaaS platforms is a plus.
Scope

  • Duration: Immediate start, delivery by end of Q4 (possibility for future work if it goes well)
  • Commitment: ~100 hours
  • Location Preference: Remote, US-Based Timezone
Key Responsibilities
  • Research industry pain points and the client’s buyer journey
  • Create interview questions and conduct (or sit in on) 3–5 client interviews
  • Develop a detailed outline for approval
  • Write a polished, evidence-backed case study/white paper
  • Recommend visual enhancements (infographics, tables, charts)
  • Optional: Provide SEO-optimized landing page copy to support the asset
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B case study or white paper writing
  • Strong investigative research and storytelling skills. Comfortable translating data and quotes into impactful narratives
  • Ability to synthesize data into compelling business content
  • Interviewing experience preferred
  • Can suggest visual formats to enhance content clarity and enable the designer
  • Must be a self-starter who can manage a project with limited supervision
  • Naturally curious with the ability to ask the right questions at the right time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with last-mile logistics, dispatching, or supply chain technologies
  • U.S.-based or overlap with U.S. time zones
  • SEO and landing page writing skills are a plus
  • Design experience with the ability to create the final project from copy to design.
