About the role and about You:

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be working together with eCommerce, Payments, and Support teams to build and maintain our customer experiences around our shop, maintaining subscriptions, and supporting customer's needs on Zwift. You will collaborate in cross-functional teams including teammates from our engineering, product, design, operations, and support disciplines. We are looking for someone comfortable in this highly collaborative environment, working with ambiguity, and being an agent of change to help build a world-class experience for our customers. 

Throughout this internship, you’ll be mentored by our Engineering Managers.

 What you’ll do:

  • Participate in agile development processes to plan and estimate tasks
  • Build, modify, and maintain software applications and consumer-facing features
  • Write code, execute tests, and apply coding standards
  • Participate in peer code reviews and technical design sessions
  • Learn to build and sustain productive relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to drive the development of exceptional content

 What we’re looking for:

  • An undergraduate student heading into their 3rd or 4th year and who is pursuing a degree in Computer Science or relevant degree
  • GPA of 3.0 and above
  • Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, Data Structures, Algorithms, and overall Software Design
  • Familiarity with GIT and/or SVN
  • Awareness of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win
  • Self-motivation to deliver results and seek continuous improvement

 Bonus points: 

  • Experience with Java and C++
  • Experience working in eCommerce, payments, and/or customer support portals
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • Experience building user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and, Javascript
  • Experience with NodeJS and React/Angular
