Outer is a venture-backed startup based in Santa Monica, California on a mission to get people outside and inspire healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives by creating innovative outdoor furniture.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and execution-oriented Growth Marketing Intern to support growth initiatives and creative coordination. You will assist the Growth Marketing team in creative management for digital ad development, and help identify content from Outer’s creative suite to promote through paid efforts.

Furthermore, this person will help research and pull relevant data, generate insights, and make recommendations to the team. 

This role requires someone who is skilled at data analysis, acting on creative insights, and delivering presentations of test results and strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Ideate concepts for creative development and strategic planning 
• Analyze and extract meaningful insights from various channels and analytics platforms
• Identify content to be used in ads across digital performance channels 
• Help with the organization and management of assets from different product shoots, brand marketing initiatives, user-generated content, etc.
• Website optimization including A/B testing, landing page customization, and lead captureImplement digital marketing campaigns across paid social and direct-response channels, working with the Growth Marketing team
• Monitor and summarize industry updates to keep us at the leading edge of the market; develop competitive analyses with actionable, solution-driven results

WHAT YOU’LL BRING ON DAY 1

• Knowledge of or experience with Social Media acquisition creative strategies
• Working toward degree in a communications, business, or related field
• The ability to synthesize data, generate insights, and recommend creative solutions

Outer started by creating the perfect outdoor sofa: beautiful, durable, comfortable, and innovative. We also invented a new model for retail because we believe that the furniture buying experience can be much better than stale, traditional showrooms with four walls, fluorescent lighting, and pushy salespeople. Our Neighborhood Showroom platform turns our customers' backyards into our physical showrooms where our customers can see, touch, and feel our products in a real backyard alongside a real customer (think: Airbnb meets retail).
