As a DevOps Engineer Intern at Virtualitics, you will join a group of talented developers creating and maintaining a suite of cutting-edge AI-driven, collaborative, data analytics and immersive visualization platforms that are deployable to the AWS Cloud.
Internship Responsibilities
- Assist engineers working in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Assist in the building of new containers in Docker and deploying in Kubernetes
- Assist in the creation of new scripts to automate deployment
- Work closely with other teams including Engineering and QA to improve and maintain products
Skills/Experiences
Required:
- Experience and working knowledge in cloud infrastructure, preferably in AWS
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines to build containers in Docker
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Strong ability and self-motivation to solve challenging problems.
- Working knowledge of Git or similar version control system.
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as individually.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Big Bonus:
- Some experience writing Python or Bash scripts
- Some experience with Dask or Spark
- Any experience with Kubernetes or Jenkins
- Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Visualization.
- Available to work on site (Pasadena, CA).
