Main Accountabilities
- Understand Absa Bank Botswana strategy and translate it into a comprehensive Internal Communications plan to align people, processes and approach behind the business strategy.
- Operational development and management of high quality, innovative, creative and best practice internal communication platforms , ensuring they are developed, produced, delivered, maintained and evaluated to the required quality standards, within agreed budgets and in line with the corporate identity.
- Undertake Bank level business partner role for executives to link colleague engagement and understanding of the business to meet targets and drive performance.
- Establish and nurture a healthy two-way communication process with target audiences to enhance and build on going feedback.
- Serve as the key interface on internal communications between Absa Botswana and the Absa Group, ensuring alignment and timely engagements as may be required from time to time.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned to business goals, while managing key communication channels.
- Design and deliver impactful employee engagement campaigns while enabling effective leadership communication through various digital and physical platforms. Promote strong two-way communication and feedback mechanisms, positioning the bank as an employer of choice.
- Support and promote employee volunteering initiatives, driving participation through compelling storytelling and targeted internal campaigns.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives and departmental heads, supporting strategic initiatives, change programmes, and broader transformation efforts.
- Develop and implement internal stakeholder engagement plans and structured communication frameworks to drive alignment and execution across the organisation.
- Create high-quality content integrated internal communication campaigns and ensure alignment with the bank’s brand across all internal messaging.
