The Internal Communications & Engagement Associate is a creative and detail-oriented team member who supports internal communications and culture-building efforts across the company. Reporting to the Internal Communications & Engagement Manager, this entry-level role plays an important part in shaping how we connect and communicate as One Team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives through writing, visual content creation, and coordination of programs that support employee engagement, recognition, and internal branding. The Associate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear, timely, and visually cohesive communications that reflect our values and culture.
Your Role
- Draft and prepare internal announcements (e.g., new hires, promotions) for manager review and finalization
- Assist with creating content for the biweekly leadership newsletter
- Support company-wide and office events (both on-site and off-site)
- Schedule and distribute internal communications aligned with the editorial calendar
- Help maintain the editorial calendar and ensure content aligns with company goals and messaging
- Assist in managing engagement and recognition programs
- Contribute to communications for culture-building and philanthropic campaigns
- Design engaging visual assets using Canva and approved templates
- Update and maintain content on the company intranet; draft promoted posts and edit existing content
- Support the Continuous Improvement / Idea Incubator program through drafting communications and coordinating idea submissions
- Develop content that supports employer branding and recruitment efforts, highlighting company culture and values
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in a corporate setting
- Basic understanding of project management practices.
- Proficient in Canva and Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook); basic knowledge of video editing is a plus.
- Positive, self-motivated, and collaborative team player with a can-do attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Design-savvy and familiar with brand consistency across formats and platforms
- Experience contributing to digital content platforms such as intranets or social media
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with team members across a variety of roles and functions
- Demonstrates a passion for storytelling, employee experience, and culture-building
- Interest in employee engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives
