About the role

As Chime’s Internal Audit & SOX IT Senior, you will help shape a world-class SOX compliance program and support broader internal audit functions. In this impactful role, you’ll lead testing and evaluation of IT controls, collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, and Finance partners, and play a key part in Chime’s path to IPO-readiness. This is a high-visibility opportunity to make a difference while working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $103,680.00 and up to $144,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to:
  • Lead identification, evaluation, and testing of key reports/IPE and IT Automated Controls
  • Own the IT portion of the SOX program roadmap, from RCM maintenance to evidence coordination
  • Plan and execute IT audits to evaluate tech control effectiveness and surface improvement opportunities
  • Serve as a partner and advisor to IT and Engineering on control-related initiatives
  • Track and guide remediation efforts for deficiencies across systems and infrastructure
  • Assess SOX impact for systems and org changes; help design controls and deliver training
  • Leverage tools like AuditBoard or analytics platforms to streamline audit operations
To thrive in this role, you have:
  • Used AuditBoard (or similar GRC tool) to build efficient SOX IT audit functions that scale
  • Led IT control design assessments and testing for SOX in a public company or IPO-ready setting
  • Managed external audit relationships and supported audit readiness across teams
  • Leveraged CISA, CISSP, or CIA certification to guide technical control strategies
  • Worked with cloud-based or modern DevOps environments for IT audit readiness
  • Presented complex technical risks to non-technical stakeholders to inform decisions
  • Used SQL, Python, or data tools to support data-driven risk assessments and audits
