As a HUB LAOC Intern, you will be exposed to the vast career opportunities within our growing region. Working within various specialties, you will learn about our business through on-the-job training, working closely with a variety of HUB team members to gain hands-on experience across the line of business.

Program Highlights

  • Professional Development: Creating networking opportunities for interns to build relationships with client service members and leaders, fostering potential mentorship and career guidance.

  • Meaningful Projects: - Collaborate with fellow interns on impactful projects that delve into the future of the insurance industry, receiving support and guidance along the way. Present your findings and recommendations to an executive panel at the culmination of the program to showcase your insights and ideas.

  • Mentorship: Receive guidance from mentors who will support your growth, answer your questions, and help you navigate the intricacies of the insurance landscape.

  • Social Experience: Gain exposure to varied team cultures, work environments, and unique dynamics, allowing for interaction with different teams and team members to understand their working styles.

  • Career Pathway: Offering structured career development tracks for interns to gain practical experience and explore various pathways, including eligibility for work-study jobs and establishing clear guidelines and criteria for interns to qualify for full-time employment after graduation, including but not limited to exceptional performance, meeting skill requirements and, passing the licensing exam.

*The expected salary range for this position is $17.27 0 to $20.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Day-to-Day Responsibilities May Include:

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with our service teams to interact with clients, understand their needs, and contribute to tailored insurance solutions.

  • Policy Administration: Gain hands-on experience in managing policies, endorsements, renewals, and assisting in claims processing.

  • Market Research: Contribute to market analysis and research projects, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.

  • Data Management: Assist in maintaining accurate client records, policy documentation, and other critical data.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues from different teams to gain exposure to various facets of insurance brokerage.

  • Technical Training: Actively engage in administrative and clerical client service support

  • Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn the insurance industry

  • Demonstrated verbal & written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills, adept at prioritizing and handling multiple tasks

  • A collaborative team player with a desire to help others

  • Independent and self-motivated, capable of autonomous work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Goes above and beyond, is an advocate of positive change and is fun to be around!
