Intern - Finance

Responsibilities

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Finance Intern in our Torrance, California.

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic students for the 2026 summer intern program at Howmet Fastening Systems. The program consists of 10-12 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, seminars, networking events, and projects selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Fastenings Systems will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any roles, and it’s Howmet Aerospace’s goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.

This position will report directly to the site’s Finance Manager with daily coaching from the team. The Howmet Aerospace Summer Internship Program will include engaging in impactful projects to assist the company and the student’s professional development.

Fixed Asset Photos & Inventory

We need all of the fixed assets in the plant found and photographed, then upload into corporate forms so it can be loaded into the fixed asset database at Corporate.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to work full time, onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2026
• Able to provide own transportation for position at Torrance, California.
• Relocation assistance not provided

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree program by the start of employment.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.). Must be proficient working in a Microsoft systems environment. Excel is required.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic programming recommended
• Prior Internship work experience.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics from an accredited institution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills

The salary for this position is $25 per hour.
