Intermediate Software Engineer

PVM, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Intermediate Software Engineer to join our dedicated justice team. In this role, you will design, develop, and support technical solutions while applying a variety of best practices. You will have the opportunity to tackle technical challenges, work on complex enterprise applications, and develop solutions that have a direct and meaningful impact on law enforcement operations. By joining PVM’s justice team, you’ll contribute to the advancement of innovative technologies that drive efficiency and effectiveness in critical justice programs, shaping a more secure and just society.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide Palantir Foundry development and support for all aspects of programming, report writing, designing, documenting, and testing
  • Provide technical application support for deployed cloud-based applications
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in highly interconnected and integrated enterprise applications
  • Derive technical requirements from statements of capability need
  • Manage and communicate requirements throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements prioritization, requirements changes, and
  • conflict resolution.
  • Develop, test, and deploy enhancements to developed products and systems while working with key customers, other team members, and management.
  • Building products that aim to make technical concepts and applications accessible for non-technical users
  • Create low-and no-code tools that enable application builders to build products for their users leveraging Palantir Foundry native applications
  • Participate in common Agile and Scrum SDLC practices. Estimation Sessions, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, PR reviews, etc.
  • Provide support to other PVM Teams and Initiatives: Surge support, RFX proposal response writing, white papers, company goals and obtaining technical
  • Effectively train users on products developed
  • Be able to communicate clearly with both the team and the client

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of object-oriented software development experience in Python/PySpark,Typescript, Javascript, HTML/CSS. R preferred but not required.
  • This position may potentially require a government clearance up to TS/SCI for future efforts
  • Minimum Security+ certification
  • Knowledge of and/or hands-on experience with Palantir Technologies SaaS Platforms (highly preferred), other exposure to Enterprise Data Analytics Platforms such as Alteryx, Informatica, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong understanding and application of fundamental object-oriented design principles
  • Knowledge and experience in ETL, data pipelines, transformations, data science/predictive analytics.
  • Ability to ideate and develop solutions from concept to completion

Education:

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience

Tools:

  • Palantir Foundry- Knowledge and experience of Palantir services (highly preferred)
  • Alteryx, Informatica, Tableau or other data analysis tools.
  • Data/ML Pipelines using S3, Athena, Glue, Airflow, Kinesis or Kafka, and Sagemaker
  • Serverless Apps using S3, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, AppSync, and Cognito
  • Experience/understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Native, AWS, and Serverless
  • High technical standards demonstrated using design patterns, clean coding, peer reviews, and unit testing
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a plus
