The Integration Engineer will develop SAP S/4HANA integration scripts, create configurable templates, collaborate with teams, and test integrations for procurement processes.
The summary above was generated by AI

The simple task of buying software, services, or tools at work has become hopelessly complicated at even the most innovative companies in the world. Today, enterprises spend $120T+ per year globally (>30 times larger than annual consumer e-commerce spend) and rely on vendors more than ever before to run their businesses.

Our cofounders started Zip in 2020 to address this seemingly intractable problem with a purpose-built procurement platform that provides a simple, consumer-grade user experience. Within the last 4 years, Zip has created a new category and developed the leading solution in this $50B+ TAM space. Today, the world’s leading companies like OpenAI, Snowflake, Anthropic, Coinbase, and Prudential rely on Zip to manage billions of dollars in spend.

We have a world-class team coming from category-defining companies like Airbnb, Meta, Stripe, Salesforce, Apple, and Google. With a $2.2 billion valuation and $370 million in funding from Y Combinator, Tiger Global, BOND, DST Global, and CRV, we’re focused on developing cutting-edge technology, expanding into new global markets, and—above all–driving incredible value for our customers. Join us!

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and package SAP S/4HANA integration scripts (using SAP APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, OData, etc.) into reusable components deployable via Zip’s Integration Platform.

  • Create parameterized, configurable templates that allow scripts to be easily tailored for multiple customer environments without rework.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering and Solutions Consulting teams to translate integration requirements into production-ready scripts.

  • Build integration workflows for critical procurement processes, including:

    • Master data synchronization (vendors, cost centers, GL accounts, plants)

    • PR/PO creation and updates

    • Change orders and approvals

    • Invoice and goods receipt flows

  • Implement secure authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, SAML, S/4HANA Single Sign-On) for script execution.

  • Test and validate integrations in both sandbox and live customer environments, ensuring error handling, logging, and resiliency.

  • Collaborate on continuous improvement of Zip’s SAP integration library, including code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD automation.

  • Stay current on SAP S/4HANA integration best practices and advise on approaches for optimizing performance and scalability.

What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA integrations, preferably in procurement, finance, or supply chain domains.

  • Hands-on expertise in SAP APIs (OData, REST), RFC/BAPI, IDoc processing, BTP, Integration Suite and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, ABAP for integration).

  • Strong understanding of SAP procurement objects (PRs, POs, vendors, plants, GL accounts, etc.).

  • Experience packaging reusable integration scripts or connectors for multi-customer deployment.

  • Excellent collaboration skills—ability to work closely with Product, Engineering, and field teams.

Nice to have
  • Experience with SAP Ariba and SAP MDG integrations

  • Familiarity with iPaaS or integration platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, etc.) is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $40.00 - $55.00 per hour. The pay for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.

We're looking to hire Zipsters and that means hiring people who take ownership, communicate openly, have an underdog mindset, and are excited to increase the pace of innovation for every business in the world. We encourage all candidates to apply even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workspace where everyone (regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
