Position Summary:

Stratos Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Integration and Test Engineer to verify and validate ground processing systems supporting satellite data operations for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring data processing and spacecraft mission management systems meet operational requirements through rigorous testing, integration, and continual performance evaluation. This role requires a deep understanding of space system operations, site integration processes, and software verification and validation (V&V), including pipeline testing, deployment testing, and ongoing testing of software in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform verification and validation (V&V) activities for satellite ground processing systems
  • Support deployment of systems into operational environments, including system integration and final validation testing.
  • Execute ongoing data quality and end-to-end accuracy testing to ensure sustained system performance during operations.
  • Develop and perform software V&V activities, including pipeline testing, deployment testing, and operational testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute test plans, procedures, and scenarios aligned with mission objectives.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports, including defect identification, troubleshooting recommendations, and validation outcomes.
  • Develop and refine operational procedures and documentation to support integration and testing activities.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to government stakeholders and other mission partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in integration and testing, with a focus on satellite data processing or mission management systems.
  • Proficiency in V&V processes, tools, and methodologies, including software testing practices.
  • Strong understanding of space system operations and site integration processes.
  • Experience with testing space system data quality, accuracy, and system performance in operational environments.
  • Knowledge of software testing frameworks and practices, to include test automation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
  • Familiarity with software tools and frameworks for testing and integration, such as MATLAB, Python, or specialized telemetry tools.
  • Certification in systems engineering, integration, or testing disciplines (e.g., INCOSE CSEP).
  • Understanding of Agile development practices and DevSecOps methodologies.
