  • Ideate creative concepts that encourage consumer engagement and ladder up to product priorities + marketing goals.
  • Develop creative strategies and platform-native recommendations that drive engagement, relevance, and growth.
  • Partner with creative teams to ensure social concepts are strategically sound and optimized for each platform.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own ongoing account reporting for Instagram, Facebook (Meta), and TikTok, identifying key successes, challenges, and actionable learnings.
  • Lead bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly social reporting across relevant platforms.
  • Translate data and analytics into clear, compelling narratives for both internal teams and clients.
  • Use performance insights to continuously inform content, paid, and creative strategy.

Paid Social

  • Manage weekly content boosting strategy and recommendations for TikTok.
  • Determine objectives and guardrails–where, when, and how–paid social budgets should be allocated to maximize campaign impact.
  • Oversee paid social budgets and pacing.
  • Communicate paid performance, recommendations, and opportunities to client stakeholders.

Influencer & Creator Strategy

  • Support influencer and creator discovery based on campaign objectives, audience, cultural relevance, and brand fit.
  • Support creator campaign strategy and execution as needed.
  • Monitor and track influencer content across internal, client, and partner teams.

Social Media & Content Support

  • Own day-to-day content management and social publishing across Instagram, TikTok, and Meta platforms.
  • Manage link tracking and ensure accurate campaign attribution.
  • Support influencer engagement and identify/track creator content being produced across agencies, client teams, and partners.
  • Provide strategic guidance to content teams to ensure assets are optimized for social.
  • Support LA-based events and activations, including identifying opportunities for social-first content capture and real-time content creation.
  • Note: Occasional IRL after-hours and weekend event attendance is a requirement for this position. These events will be flagged at the top of the month

Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, brand strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and the broader social ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience developing social strategies and translating them into actionable briefs.
  • Strong paid social knowledge, including campaign development, optimization, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Experience working with influencers/creators and understanding of creator-driven content.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
