Note: This role is a ~ 3 month contract opportunity. Our team is on-site 4 days a week, and our office is located in West Hollywood, CA. Please only apply if you are comfortable with these terms.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a performance-driven and innovative Performance Marketing Manager to lead audience acquisition and digital campaign optimization efforts across Hartbeat’s content portfolio, with a strong focus on FAST channels and digital distribution. This role will be critical in driving measurable growth for Hartbeat’s digital platforms through paid media, audience segmentation, performance testing, and channel optimization.
You will report into the EVP, Head of Marketing & Brand Strategy, and collaborate closely with our Digital Platforms team to execute best-in-class digital marketing strategies that amplify content reach, engagement, and conversion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance & Digital Marketing
Lead the strategy and execution of performance marketing campaigns across FAST channels, YouTube, social, and emerging digital platforms.
Optimize campaign performance to meet KPIs including viewership, engagement, subscriber growth, and content tune-in across Hartbeat’s digital distribution network.
Partner with content distribution and platform teams (e.g., Pluto, Tubi, Roku) to align marketing plans with platform-specific goals and placement opportunities.
Develop and execute performance-focused campaigns to support Hartbeat originals (TV, audio, film) and live events, working across paid social, programmatic, SEM, and influencer media.
Create and manage dashboards to track campaign effectiveness, audience growth, and platform ROI; deliver insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Test creative assets, audience segments, and channel mix to improve conversion rates and campaign efficiency.
Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration
Collaborate with internal creative, digital platforms, and marketing teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with content messaging and audience strategy.
Develop media briefs and marketing plans with internal stakeholders and external agencies that reflect a performance-driven approach.
Identify and evaluate trends in digital consumption and performance marketing to recommend new channels, technologies, or tactics.
Oversee digital attribution and measurement frameworks to ensure accurate ROI tracking and optimization.
Brand & Growth Strategy
Help define digital growth goals across Hartbeat’s content verticals and shape strategies to acquire, retain, and re-engage audiences.
Contribute to the evolution of Hartbeat’s digital brand presence by bringing a performance lens to content marketing and distribution initiatives.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
6–10 years of experience in performance marketing or digital content marketing, ideally within entertainment, streaming, or media brands.
Deep understanding of FAST channels, AVOD/SVOD platforms, and digital content ecosystems.
Demonstrated success launching and scaling paid media campaigns with measurable results (acquisition, tune-in, engagement).
Highly analytical with strong reporting skills and a test-and-learn mindset.
Experience working in cross-functional environments with content, brand, and creative teams.
Strategic thinker who can balance big-picture planning with tactical execution.
Passion for culture, digital entertainment, and comedy is a plus.

COMPENSATION
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, competencies, prior relevant experience, and work location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and incentives.
