Location: Remote - Philippines only

Monthly pay rate: USD $1,200 (full-time, no other jobs allowed)

Title: Insurance Authorization Specialist (Single Case Agreements & Prior Authorization)

We’re hiring a full-time remote Care Coordinator to focus exclusively on Single Case Agreements (SCAs) and Prior Authorizations (PAs). This is a highly specialized, execution-driven role responsible for ensuring patients can access care by navigating payer requirements quickly, accurately, and persistently.

You will spend the majority of your day working directly with insurance payers, submitting and tracking prior authorizations, negotiating single case agreements, and ensuring all required documentation is complete and compliant. Your work will directly determine how quickly patients can begin care.

This role sits at the intersection of operations, payer strategy, and patient access. It is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in working with U.S. healthcare payers.

Experience in at least one of the following is absolutely mandatory:

  • Single Case Agreements (SCAs)

  • Prior Authorizations (PAs)

Responsibilities
  1. Own end-to-end execution of Single Case Agreements (SCAs) with insurance payers

  2. Submit, track, and follow up on Prior Authorizations (PAs) to ensure timely approvals

  3. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues and move cases forward

  4. Gather and organize clinical documentation required for submissions

  5. Maintain accurate records across internal systems (e.g., EHR, CRM)

  6. Identify and escalate delays, denials, or payer issues proactively

  7. Partner with internal teams (clinical, intake, billing) to ensure seamless patient access to care

  8. Continuously improve workflows to increase speed and approval rates

Why Join Sailor Health

  • Remote-first team. Enjoy the flexibility of remote work while staying closely connected with a thoughtful, collaborative team rooted in purpose.

  • Growth and ownership. Be part of a small, agile team where you’ll take initiative, shape key processes, and grow as we grow.

  • Make someone’s day – every day. Your work helps older adults and their families feel seen, supported, and cared for.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to connect. Join us in redefining what it means to age with dignity, connection, and mental wellness.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
