Position Summary

The Federal Work Study position is a part-time, student worker opportunity with National University.  The students will provide general support and assistance to their selected department and will work on special projects as assigned and in alignment with the student’s stated interests and career goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the development, curation, organization, and distribution of instructional resources for staff, faculty, and student use.
  • Maintains training and attendance records, inputs data, and verifies that information is keyed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Creates and organizes analytical reports and presentations.
  • Administrative and clerical duties; general office assistance.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current National University student who has completed a current FAFSA.
  • Ability to work up to 15 hours per week with a varied schedule.
  • Must be willing and able to handle material in a confidential matter. 

Technical / Functional Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Outstanding organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of diverse cultures.
  • Adaptable to work independently within in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
  • Preferred: Familiarity or minimal experience in using Google Drive and web development software (i.e., WIX, Springshare, SharePoint, etc.).

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.  Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
