Contract Details: This is a 2-3 month project-based contract engagement with clearly defined deliverables and success criteria. Job Summary: The Instructional Designer is responsible for building engaging, user-centered certification paths and educational content that enable Nextech clients to maximize their product adoption and success. This contract role focuses on designing specialty-based learning experiences that transform complex technical concepts into accessible, digestible content across multiple formats including visual guides, videos, webinars, and structured certification tracks.
The Instructional Designer partners cross-functionally with Support, Product, and Operations teams to ensure all educational content meets client needs and supports business objectives. This role requires strong educational design principles, multimedia content development expertise, and the ability to create scalable learning programs.

Essential Functions
- Build 3-5 specialty-based certification tracks with clear learning objectives, assessments, and completion criteria
- Execute the development of visual guides, webinars, and interactive learning materials optimized for client consumption
- Apply instructional design principles to ensure all content is accessible, engaging, and appropriate for diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with Technical Writers and Video Production Specialists to maintain consistency across educational content formats
- Partner with Product and Support teams to identify knowledge gaps and translate technical information into client-facing learning experiences
- Create and maintain content standards and templates for educational materials within established brand and content guidelines
- Measure and report on certification program engagement and completion rates
- Work under the direction of the Client Education Manager to integrate certification paths into the overall content ecosystem
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of instructional design or educational content development experience
- Proven experience building certification programs or structured learning paths
- Strong portfolio demonstrating multimedia educational content (visual guides, interactive materials)
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles and educational design frameworks
- Experience using data and learner feedback to iterate and improve educational programs
- Ability to collaborate well with diverse partners across Support, Product, and Operations teams, influence without direct authority, and build strong cross-functional relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate complex concepts to audiences across functions, teams, and organizational levels
- Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience in SaaS software environments
- This role is not open to residents of California
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare technology or B2B software environments
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational content platforms
- Experience creating ADA-compliant content (WCAG 2.1 standards)
- Ability to present content strategies and program updates to executive audiences
- Background in adult education, curriculum development, or corporate training programs
